Position Summary

Karvo Companies, Inc. is seeking experienced Heavy Highway Equipment Operators to join our growing team. This role is responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery used in highway and road construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, rollers, and skid steers
• Perform grading, excavation, and material handling tasks for highway and sitework projects
• Follow project plans, grade stakes, and instructions from supervisors
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Work collaboratively with crew members, foremen, and project managers
• Maintain a clean and organized job site

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in highway or civil construction
• Ability to read grade stakes and interpret site plans preferred
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
• Willingness to travel to job sites and work varying schedules
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented attitude
• Active membership in, or ability to join, the appropriate Construction Union
