Job summary

Momentum Transportation is seeking a Heavy Haul Project Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure on‑time performance for complex loads in Jacksonville, FL. You will coordinate with operations and carriers, create ship plans, and monitor shipments to meet customer expectations.

The role requires 2+ years in project or transportation management, strong communication skills, and proficiency with logistics software. A BA/BS in logistics is preferred and a dedicated safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years Project Management experience.
Minimum 2 years Transportation Management.
High School Diploma/GED required. BA/BS preferred.

Responsibilities

Review the scope of the project to determine necessary capacity requirements to meet the customer’s needs.
Work with internal and external customers to meet customer demands.
Create project ship plans.
Negotiate with transportation providers for best rates and service.
Monitor shipments from pickup to delivery with Track & Trace.
Maintain relationships with carriers to ensure capacity and service.
Communicate with carriers and team members.
Update transportation management systems.
Prioritize tasks to improve quality and service performance.
Provide complex problem resolution and implement solutions.
Utilize industry knowledge to process client shipments.
Participate in video and conference calls.
Maintain regular attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
