Job summary

Anderson Trucking Service seeks a Heavy Haul (HH) Over Dimensional Permit Manager to lead the HH permit group, drive safety and efficiency, and coordinate with drivers, operations, and state agencies. You will develop processes, manage relationships, and ensure timely, profitable moves while controlling costs and compliance across permitting, routing, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year degree in a customer-driven environment or related training.
• 3–5 years of experience in operations or transportation.
• Experience building department relationships and workload prioritization.
• Strong customer service and time management with a results focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the heavy haul permit group through hiring, training and direction.
• Set expectations, processes, and strategies and implement department changes.
• Ensure safety, quality and service; escalate when needed.
• Provide state information and permit limits to coordinators, projects team, driver managers and customer service.
• Ensure safe, timely, and profitable operations via efficient route planning and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate across departments to identify needs and resolve permit or route issues.
• Build relationships with state/local agencies and serve as liaison for permits and routes.
• Attend project planning and excess dimension meetings.
• Track permits, police, utilities and other stats to drive efficiency improvements.
