Yancey Bros. Co. in Georgia is seeking a Heavy Haul Driver to safely load and deliver heavy rental equipment to customers and other Yancey locations with a strong focus on service.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A, DOT log management, and the ability to operate and load a variety of machines onto trailers. Ideal candidates bring safety discipline, urgency, and excellent customer service to every delivery.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Ability to manage electronic DOT logs and delivery software via tablets.
• Capable and competent in operating and loading various machines onto trailers.
• Customer service oriented with a strong attitude and willingness to exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL tractor and trailer combination.
• Maintain safe driving record and follow all safety guidelines for operating/loading equipment with PPE.
• Maintain DOT logs to be 100% compliant.
• Utilize IR Mobile APP before shipping and after delivery to our location.
• Safely load/unload equipment onto assigned vehicles or trailers.
• Inspect equipment for safe operation and cleanliness before leaving the yard on each delivery.
• Obtain customer signature on rental contracts and damage inspection sheets at time of delivery on >80% of deliveries.
• Provide customer overview of equipment operation during delivery.
• Inspect equipment for damage and safety before loading; photograph issues prior to loading.
• Demonstrate customer service in a positive manner with all customers.
