Job summary

State Utility Contractors, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanic to launch a career with a trusted, four-decade company.

Recent graduates of a diesel/heavy equipment program are encouraged to apply for hands-on repair work and on-the-job training. You will diagnose electrical and hydraulic faults, service excavators and loaders, and perform in-shop and field repairs in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic program.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Engine overhaul experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting to diagnose and repair system faults.
• Maintain and repair excavators, front loaders, skid loaders, backhoes, cranes, and other small equipment.
• Handle both in-shop work and field service road calls.
