Job summary

Custom Truck One Source is seeking a Welder in Lynchburg/Forest, VA to perform electric arc welding and weld heavy equipment components.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, knowledge of MIG welders, torches, and plasma cutting, and flexibility for shifts and overtime. Candidates should have at least one year of welding experience and be able to pass a drug test and background check in a demanding industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Must read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of welding equipment such as MIG welders, torches and plasma cutter.
• Experience with overhead cranes.
• AWS B21-1-020-94 and AWS D1.1-10 certifications required.
• Must be able to work designated shift and overtime when necessary.
• Minimum one year of welding experience preferred.
• Pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform electric arc/wire welding on various types of metal.
• Use oxygen/acetylene cutting torches and plasma cutting tools.
• Fit and weld parts for heavy equipment assembly.
• Support welding department with a variety of tasks.
• Perform daily cleanup and adhere to safety policies.
