Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; welding experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing job experience.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must possess good memory and perform basic math.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Must meet visual qualification.
• Must obtain and maintain qualifications: confined space, crane, tow motor and motorized lift.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DOE clearance.

Responsibilities

• Set up GTA and Plasma Arc Weld equipment and track weld arc.
• Perform weld operations and monitor weld quality.
• Document data in weld records and logs.
• May train and qualify operators.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Enforce safety rules to reduce accidents and injuries.
• Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
• Verify component IDs and process documents.
• Monitor parameters for penetration, fusion and weld configuration.
