Custom Truck One Source is seeking a skilled welder in Lynchburg, VA to perform arc welding, cutting, and assembly on heavy equipment. You will read drawings, operate MIG welders, torches, and plasma cutters, and work with overhead cranes in a fast-paced shop.

The role requires 1+ year welding experience, willingness to work shifts/overtime, and basic computer use for onboarding and timekeeping. Safety training and PPE compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read engineering drawings.
• Welding and cutting equipment knowledge required (MIG, torches, plasma cutter).
• Overhead crane experience is required.
• AWS B21-1-020-94 and AWS D1.1-10 certifications preferred.
• Able to work designated shift and overtime when needed.
• Minimum one year welding experience preferred.
• Basic computer navigation for onboarding/timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform electric arc/wire welding on metal.
• Use oxygen/acetylene and plasma cutting tools.
• Fit and weld parts for heavy equipment assembly.
• Support welding dept with varied tasks.
• Daily cleanup of equipment and work areas.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
