Job summary

OmniSource is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to keep trucks and heavy equipment running efficiently at its Ohio operation. You will perform preventative and corrective work, troubleshoot malfunctions, and respond to emergency breakdowns, while assisting with utility and equipment installations.

The role requires welding and fabrication skills, the ability to read schematics, and safe operation of maintenance vehicles. Adherence to safety policies is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams; mechanical blueprints, welding and fabrication.
• Operate maintenance vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic electrical repairs and arc welding (stick and MIG).
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on trucks and heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• React to emergency breakdowns.
• Perform needed repairs.
• Assist with installation of utilities and equipment.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
