Job summary

AIS Infrastructure Group is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician in the United States to maintain and repair construction and industrial equipment. You will diagnose, service, and calibrate equipment, ensuring safety standards are met and records are kept up to date.

The role requires knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, plus CDL and several years of field experience. You will work with a team to keep critical machinery running reliably on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Class B or Class A CDL.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic in the construction or industrial sector.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail in performing inspections and repairs.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Customer service skills when interacting with internal teams and external vendors.
• Certification or training in mechanical or automotive technology is preferred.
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and computerized systems is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on construction and industrial equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities to identify and address potential issues before they cause equipment failure.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system problems.
• Replace faulty parts and components, ensuring proper installation and calibration.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts inventory.
