Accelera is seeking a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet operational for construction projects. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, using advanced diagnostics and tablets to manage work orders and maintenance schedules.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read complex schematics, and experience with diesel engines and aerial lifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy machinery to minimize downtime.
• Utilize digital diagnostic tools and tablets to manage work orders, track service intervals, and document repairs accurately.
• Execute preventative maintenance schedules to ensure the longevity and safety of our equipment fleet.
• Collaborate with team members to mentor junior staff and share technical expertise on equipment systems.
• Interpret technical schematics and diagrams to perform precise repairs on diesel engines and aerial lifts.
• Coordinate with logistics to assist in the transport of parts and equipment as necessary to keep operations moving.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Advanced mechanical aptitude with a strong working knowledge of heavy equipment systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot using modern diagnostic software and hardware.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and industry-standard maintenance practices.
• Must possess a personal set of tools applicable to the trade.

Preferred Skills

• Completion of a trade school certification or relevant technical program.
• Prior experience in field service or high-volume equipment repair environments.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Experience working with major diesel engine platforms such as Cummins or Detroit Diesel.
