Bergkamp Inc. is seeking a hands-on Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Technical Representative I to join our Customer Support Team in the field and shop. You will diagnose, repair, and service Bergkamp pavement preservation equipment, both in our shop and on-site at customer locations.

You will train customers and team members, lead start-ups, and collaborate with engineering to improve equipment performance. Travel up to 25% and ensure safety and quality in every job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent as foundation.
• 3–5 years in automotive mechanics or related fields.
• Able to use mechanic tools and operate a forklift.
• Able to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Customer-first mindset and professional demeanor.
• Solid math skills for fractions and percentages.
• Follow instructions and apply common sense.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and quality focus.
• Computer proficiency, including MS Office and ERP.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair pavement preservation equipment in shop and field, with remote support.
• Train customers and team members on operation and maintenance.
• Lead equipment start-ups and provide on-site training.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams using field insights.
• Support sales by answering technical questions.
• Conduct final inspections before equipment ships.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow safety protocols.
• Stay current with industry knowledge through training.
• Contribute to a strong team culture.
