Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Kentucky is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to service and repair heavy machinery used in waste and recycling operations. You will perform inspections, diagnose issues, and execute repairs to keep equipment safe and productive.

The role requires 1–2 years of hands-on experience, familiarity with repair manuals and electrical diagrams, and the ability to read English. You will work under safety policies, maintain repair records, and interact professionally with

Qualifications

Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair equipment.
1-2 years of applicable experience required.
Must be able to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

Perform repair and maintenance of heavy equipment safely and in compliance with regulations and company policies.
Service equipment per maintenance schedules and daily inspection reports.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
Perform emergency repairs on breakdowns and inspect, lubricate, fuel and service equipment.
Maintain accurate repair orders, parts usage, and repair times through a computerized system.
Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
