Brox Industries, Inc. in Dracut, MA is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to service and repair heavy equipment, compact machinery, and light trucks. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, inspect systems, and troubleshoot using diagnostic tools.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical, and HVAC, and can read repair orders, document work, and stay safety compliant. Union shop; CDL is a plus but not required.

Formación

• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on heavy equipment and commercial trucks.
• Perform repair or preventive maintenance on electrical, diesel and gasoline vehicles including rollers, excavators and loaders.
• Engines, transmissions, chassis, drive lines, hydraulic, brakes, suspensions and HVAC repairs.
• Read equipment condition reports and discuss defects with supervisor to determine preventive techniques.
• Complete paperwork: parts usage and time tracking for repairs.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic diagnostics tools.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

We have an immediate opening for a Heavy Equipment Technician to perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, compact heavy equipment, light service equipment, commercial trucks, and light trucks Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, preventative maintenance inspections, hydraulic, fuel, exhaust, brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAV, and emission systems.

Ideal candidate

• Maintain2s advanced knowledge to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on heavy equipment and commercial trucks.
  
• Performs repair orpreventative maintenance on electrical, diesel and gasoline vehicles, includingasphalt rollers, excavator, wheel loader, pavers, rock trucks, commercialtrucks and other vehicles to maximize safe and productive operations.
  
• Typical repairs andmaintenance would include work on engines, transmissions, chassis, drive lines,and body components, hydraulic, air brake systems, electrical, suspensionsystems and HVAC.
  
• Reads and interpretsequipment condition reports and/or repair orders, communicate with supervisorfor clarification of defects and discuss preventive techniques.
  
• Completes paperworkassociated with repairing equipment, documenting parts usage and accounting forapplied times (i.e., work order times compared to time card times).
  
• Identifies the sourceof malfunctions using a variety of electronic tools.
  
• Performs otherjob-related duties as assigned or apparent.
  
• Follows all safetypolicies and procedures.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
  
• Prior experience with, or knowledge of, maintenance work to be performed on heavy equipment, Classes 1-5 light /medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks.
  
• Commercial Driver's License is a plus but not required.
  
• Valid Driver's License.
