Job summary

MasterTech is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians in the Amarillo, TX area for shop and field service roles. Technicians will maintain, diagnose and repair a diverse line of heavy equipment in both shop and field environments.

The position offers day shifts with overtime possible. Compensation is $30.00 - $46.00/hour+ based on experience, with comprehensive benefits, 401K, boot and tool allowance, and a company vehicle/gas card for field openings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or completion of a Diesel Tech/Mechanic program
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Proficient with diagnostic scanning tools
• Welding experience preferred
• Experience with construction, earth moving, forestry, mining or landscaping equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair a diverse line of heavy equipment in both shop and field service environments
• Perform diagnostics and repairs to ensure optimal operation and safety
• Read schematics and reference manuals to guide repairs
• Collaborate with customers to communicate service findings and recommendations
• Maintain clean work area and adhere to safety protocols

MasterTech is on the search for experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians in the Amarillo TX area. We have both Shop and Field Service opportunities available.

Mechanics will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of a diverse line of heavy equipment in a shop and field service environment.

Compensation:

• $30.00 - $46.00/hour+ based on experience, training, certifications, etc.
• Comprehensive benefits plan. Company pays 100% of employee premiums. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, etc.

Shift:

• Day shift, roughly 7AM - 4PM, (Monday to Friday). Overtime available.

Key Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, or completion of a Diesel Technology/Mechanic program.
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient with diagnostic scanning tools.
• Welding experience is preferred.
