Sunbelt Rentals in Abilene, TX is seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on our diverse fleet in challenging locations. You’ll join a safety-focused team and build a career path in service or operations management.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, valid driver's license and CDL where required. Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems is valued; bilingual abilities may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of makes, models & equipment in challenging remote locations.
• Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to minimize downtime in a safety-focused environment.
