Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. in Abilene, TX is seeking a Technical Trainer to lead hands-on and classroom training for service technicians and customers on Wirtgen and other equipment lines.

The role requires five years of technical repair experience, strong knowledge of engines, powertrains, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and willingness to travel to multiple branches up to 70% of the time.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of Technical/Heavy Equipment Repair Experience.
• Proficient with Engines, Powertrains, Hydraulics, Electrical, and Braking Systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications.
• Ability to frequently travel to other branches, technical schools, and events.
• Exceptional Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Train service technicians and customers on equipment maintenance and repair.
• Develop and deliver hands-on classroom training.
• Create training materials and improve adult learning practices.
• Deliver MSHA Safety Training for staff and reps.
• Provide OSHA certified safety training for customers as requested.
• Travel 70% or more to branches to provide training.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Ensure consistent on-site attendance.
