Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a qualified Technical Trainer to deliver hands‑on and classroom training for service technicians and customers on heavy equipment, including Wirtgen lines.

The role requires strong repair expertise and the ability to translate complex concepts into effective learning experiences. Travel to multiple branches is expected (70%+), with emphasis on safety training (MSHA and OSHA) and professional development.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of technical/heavy equipment repair experience.
• Proficient knowledge of engines, powertrains, hydraulics, electrical, and braking systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and related apps.
• Ability to travel frequently to other branches, technical schools and events.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Act as product expert and provide training to service technicians and customers on repair and maintenance of Kirby-Smith equipment including Wirtgen products.
• Develop and deliver hands‑on and classroom training.
• Develop training materials and practices that support adult learning.
• Deliver MSHA safety training for service personnel, sales personnel and Product Support Reps.
• Provide OSHA-certified safety training for customers as requested.
• Maintain consistent on‑site attendance and travel to branches as required.
