Job summary

Foley Equipment is the authorized Caterpillar dealer in Kansas and NW Missouri. The Equipment Technician role focuses on troubleshooting, servicing and repairing heavy machinery in the shop, covering both large and small earthmoving equipment.

Hourly Base Rate is $24.62 - $58.30 per hour, with opportunities for travel to assist at other locations. Strong mechanical, electrical and welding skills are valued, and the company offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulics.
• Reading and comprehending specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins.
• Welding background (Mig and Stick) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, make recommendations for repairs and perform critical repairs and adjustments
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments
• Develop and maintain long-lasting working relationships with customers
• Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.
