Akima Global Logistics (AGL), based in Anchorage, AK, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Army tactical vehicles, MHE, and heavy equipment at a contractor-managed turn-in site. Responsibilities include PMCS, safety compliance, and documentation for disposition.

Competenze

• Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent; substituted with relevant work experience.
• 3–5 years of experience as a mechanic on military or heavy equipment.
• Prior U.S. Army or contractor experience with tactical vehicles, combat systems, or MHE preferred.
• Proficiency reading Army TMs, schematics, and technical drawings.

Mansioni

• Perform technical inspections on heavy equipment, tactical vehicles, and MHE during the turn-in process.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system faults.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance per Army TMs, DA PAM 750-8, and AR 750-1.
• Record inspections, maintenance, and repairs using Army-approved forms and systems.
• Assists supply and property accountability staff in updating records.
