Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support turn-in operations in Anchorage, AK. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair Army tactical vehicles, heavy equipment, and MHE while ensuring safety, compliance with TMs, and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanic experience on military or heavy equipment.
• Ability to read Army TMs, schematics and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with PMCS and Army maintenance standards.
• Experience with GCSS-Army logistics systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CAC, real ID.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on heavy equipment during the turn-in process.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance per Army TMs and DA PAM 750-8.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance during servicing.
• Repair engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes and hydraulics.
• Service and maintain MHE such as forklifts and cranes.
• Document inspections and repairs using Army forms.
• Coordinate with supply and inspectors during mass turn-ins.
• Prepare equipment for storage, transfer, or disposal.
