Job summary

IOWA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD is seeking a SURFACE MAINTENANCE REPAIRER (WG-5801-8) to diagnose and repair heavy equipment and automotive vehicles. Tasks include routine maintenance, part replacement, and basic systems upkeep in both shop and remote field locations.

Qualifications

• Performs limited diagnosis and routine repairs on heavy-duty equipment.
• Repairs on engines, transmissions, hydraulics and related systems.
• Uses basic test equipment to identify failures and maintain vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Follow manuals, PMCS and maintenance bulletins for servicing.
• Provide field maintenance at unit locations as part of a contact team.
