The role is hourly with overtime as needed and requires strong communication with dispatch and site personnel. Applicants should have at least 1 year of field repair experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1 year field experience repairing heavy construction equipment required.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school preferred.
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist equipment technicians or service personnel with technical support by phone/email or directly at job site.
• Develop quick and accurate communication with field personnel and dispatch.
• Assure quality of repairs to minimize recall/duplicate work.
• Assure compliance with all governmental and company safety polices.
• Comply with Human Resources policies.
• Review shop tool requirements to do work more efficiently.
• Observe and report any deficiencies to forward our PM program for effectiveness and possible additions to our program.
• Participate in technical training with dealer / manufacturer and pass on that training to other mechanics.
• Work closely with our Field Services Dispatcher and our parts personnel to assure on time delivery of parts.
• Work daily with Internal Department, Field Managers and Superintendents as well as Field Mechanics.
• This position will be hourly and require overtime as needed.
• Must have sufficient tools to do the job. The company does not provide industry Standard Tools.
• Service Truck must be kept clean and orderly.
• Responsible for staying within HOS (hours of service), if applicable
• Responsible for complying with all Trimble/Telogis regulations.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
