Job Overview

EquipmentShare is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) for our rental facility in Columbus, OH. The role involves maintenance and repair of various heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts, providing an opportunity to work on the newest fleet in the industry.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after 40 hours. On-call during weekends only in special circumstances.

Primary Responsibilities

• Practice safe repair practices
• Use laptops and tablets comfortably
• Maintain and repair complex systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel)
• Assist in training lower-level technicians
• Document work accurately and timely
• Assist with equipment and parts pickup/delivery
• Knowledge of OSHA standards (preferred)
• Participate in OEM training
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• Own tools applicable to the role
• Strong mechanical aptitude and tool knowledge
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Education & Experience

• High School diploma; trade certification preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance, or repair (preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Pass a 10-panel drug screen
