Job summary

EquipmentShare is hiring a Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic) in Gonzales, TX. You will repair and maintain a variety of heavy equipment and aerial lifts, using diagnostic tools and company tech to diagnose issues and plan repairs.

You’ll work Monday–Friday with possible on-call shifts, and will receive OEM training and opportunities for career advancement. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and customer service as you support both fleet and client equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or trade certificate preferred.
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair is desired.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; able to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain heavy equipment and aerial lifts on customer sites and rental fleet.
• Use laptops/tablets to track service intervals and document work orders.
• Diagnose issues, determine root causes, and perform corrective actions.
• Travel to customer job sites as needed; operate service vehicle professionally.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines; participate in OEM training.
