Job summary

Aggregate Resource Industries, Inc. (ARI) is seeking Shop Mechanics for our Springfield, Oregon shop. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and repair rock drills, crushers, excavators, wheel loaders, and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of hands-on heavy equipment repair experience.
• Associate degree or technical/vocational training in diesel technology, heavy equipment repair, or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of diesel engines, powertrain systems, hydraulics, electrical and air systems, fuel systems, steering and braking systems, cooling systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and service information.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulics/electrical schematics, service manuals, diagrams, and specs.
• Experience using electronic diagnostic tools and OEM software preferred.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, inspections, fluid and filter service, and issue identification.
• Basic welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Pre-employment drug test and post-accident testing; zero-tolerance policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on ARI’s heavy equipment fleet.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, air, and powertrain malfunctions using testing methods and diagnostic tools.
• Repair, replace, or rebuild engines, transmissions, fuel systems, final drives, steering components, pumps, and related assemblies.
• Conduct thorough equipment inspections and verify completed repairs.
• Complete accurate work orders, service reports, parts lists, and timecards.
• Communicate with supervisors and vendors to troubleshoot issues and coordinate repairs.
