Job summary

Peterson Holding Company is seeking an experienced Shop Technician at our Salem, OR location. This role involves performing service activities primarily in the main service shop for customer and sales/rental fleet equipment.

The successful candidate will have an Associates Degree in Diesel Technology and a minimum of three years of experience in heavy equipment service. Excellent communication skills and adherence to safety protocols are essential. We offer competitive wages and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of directly related experience in heavy equipment service.
• Ability to perform repairs, installations, and maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and operate heavy equipment components.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and observe safety procedures.
• Communicate with customers to promote positive relationships.
• Prepare documentation accurately including work orders and timecards.

Skills

Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Proficiency with writing service reports

Ability to work safely

Education

Associates Degree in Diesel Technology or related field
