Job summary

Aggregate Resource Industries, Inc. is seeking Shop Mechanics for our Springfield, Oregon shop.

Join a team responsible for a diverse fleet of heavy equipment, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep equipment safe and reliable for field use. The ideal candidate will have hands-on repair experience, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to read schematics, use diagnostic tools, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

Two years minimum of hands-on heavy equipment repair experience in heavy industrial, construction, mining, or similar environments.
Associate degree or technical training in diesel technology, heavy equipment repair, or related field preferred.
Working knowledge of diesel engines, powertrain systems, hydraulics, electrical and air systems, fuel systems, steering and braking systems.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on ARI’s heavy equipment fleet.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, air, and powertrain malfunctions using testing methods and diagnostic tools.
Repair, replace, or rebuild engines, transmissions, fuel systems, final drives, steering components, pumps, motors, and related assemblies.
Conduct thorough equipment inspections, verify repairs, follow manufacturer and company procedures.
Complete accurate work orders, service reports, and equipment failure documentation.
Communicate with supervisors, vendors, and product support to troubleshoot issues and coordinate repairs.
Identify required parts and coordinate supplies to minimize downtime.
Maintain a clean, organized shop following 5S principles.
