Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Service Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and repair construction equipment, order parts, and maintain company assets. The role requires reading hydraulic and electrical schematics, maintaining tools, and occasional overtime.

A valid driver’s license and hands-on shop experience are essential. The technician will work in a high-productivity shop, uphold safety policies, communicate with customers and colleagues, and participate in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Two years' experience diagnosing and repairing construction equipment.
• Ability to read complex hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Furnish and maintain a set of hand tools and any special tools required by the company.
• Ability to occasionally work overtime, stay overnight, and work on weekends when needed.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Communicates Kirby Smith vision and core values to teammates.
• Performs shop repairs and maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Diagnoses and evaluates problems with equipment and repairs per guidelines.
• Plans methods and sequence of performing assigned repairs.
• Notifies the Manager of additional work required on the unit.
• Models safe work habits and adheres to safety policies at all times.
• Maintains organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Attends factory and other training as specified by supervisor.
• Ensures shop equipment remains in optimal working order.
