Job summary

Anderson Equipment Company is seeking a Service Technician to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of heavy equipment, including diesel, gas and electric units. You will diagnose issues, disassemble/reassemble components and work with senior technicians on engine, transmission and hydraulic rebuilds.

Responsibilities include preparing parts requisitions, using manufacturer diagnostic tools, documenting work orders, and maintaining safety standards throughout the repair process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two year technical degree or military training considered a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
• Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of equipment operations, mechanical functions, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with computers and diagnostic programs provided by manufacturers.
• Ownership of adequate hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot/diagnose equipment problems and perform repairs on a wide range of equipment.
• Maintain and repair heavy diesel, gas and electrically operated construction equipment, from overhauls to minor repairs.
• Diagnose operational difficulties; disassemble and reassemble equipment, replacing defective parts.
• Work with senior technicians to rebuild engines, transmissions, hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic pumps.
• Prepare parts requisitions and enter requisitions into the Company’s computer system.
• Perform heating, brazing, soldering, burning and minor welding as needed.
• Document work orders and track repair progress using Anderson’s systems; follow safety protocols.
