Job summary

DC Army National Guard in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Construction Vehicle Repairer to maintain trucks, bulldozers, power shovels and other heavy equipment used in construction missions. You’ll inspect, repair and tune engines, hydraulics, brakes and electrical systems.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 8 weeks Advanced Individual Training, with paid instruction and a regular drill-weekend paycheck.

Qualifications

• Requires military enlistment and eligibility for Army National Guard service.
• Ages 17–35 and high school diploma or GED recommended.
• Ability to pass a physical exam and meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Service drive shafts, brakes, water pumps and turbochargers.
• Maintain and replace cylinder heads and road wheels.
• Follow maintenance schedules and perform tune-ups.
