Job summary

Anderson Equipment Company is seeking a Rental Agent to source rental equipment based on project needs and applications, negotiate rates, transportation, and rental purchase options. The role also oversees insurance verification and maintains rental documentation for machines on rent.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Salesforce on equipment availability, updating equipment status, and ensuring closeout processes with accounting and service departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with heavy equipment; or combination of experience and education.
• Proficiency with computers including looking up equipment, calculating rental rates and discounts.
• Professional demeanor and ability to enhance the company's image with customers.

Responsibilities

• Source rental equipment based on projects and applications.
• Negotiate rates, transportation, and rental purchase options.
• Verify that customers maintain appropriate insurance levels and procure/update certification.
• Coordinate information with Salesforce about equipment availability, status of on rent machines, and closeout reminders.
• Receive in new equipment and close out rentals, notifying Accounting for invoicing and Service Department for inspections.
