Tractor & Equipment Co. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician - Specialty Shop (Component Rebuild) at our Williston, ND branch. You will diagnose, repair, and recondition components of CAT equipment, using diagnostic tools and dynamometer testing after rebuild.

Qualifications

• 2–4 year vocational technical school or equivalent experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment, ET and SIS programs.
• Ability to operate forklift and other equipment safely.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to maintain customer relations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook).
• Able to stand for long periods and complete paperwork efficiently.
• Experience at a CAT dealership or with CAT products is ideal.
• Must meet safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and recondition heavy equipment components.
• Disassemble, inspect, assemble, and test components including hydraulic tests and engine dynamometer testing after rebuild.
• Utilize CAT diagnostic equipment and tooling for repairs.
• Plan and organize work to control job costs.
• Identify root causes and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence.
