Job summary

P&K Stone LLC in Chico, TX is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and light repairs on a fleet of heavy equipment including loaders, bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, and haul trucks.

The role requires at least 2 years of experience with heavy dirt equipment, a valid Class C driver’s license, and the ability to work a scheduled shift with overtime and weekends. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with heavy dirt equipment.
• Valid Class C driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write and speak English well.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MSHA, OSHA, DOT and safety guidelines.
• Perform PM on equipment and trucks, replace filters and change fluids.
• Conduct daily maintenance checks and document repairs.
• Maintain up-to-date repair records and data spreadsheets.
• Communicate issues with drivers/operators.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults.
• Inspect trucks and report issues the same day.
• Manage tools and parts inventory for job scopes.
• Complete maintenance projects to meet production goals.
• Take on other mechanical and maintenance duties as assigned.
