Job summary

P&K Stone LLC is seeking an Excavator Operator to join our team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on operating heavy mobile equipment, especially excavators, with additional duties on haul trucks, loaders, and dozers.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of heavy equipment experience, complete pre-shift inspections, read gauges, and communicate using a two-way radio. Work hours are 6 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Saturday, with overtime and weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to work 6 AM–6 PM, Monday–Saturday, with overtime and weekend shifts.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to communicate via two-way radio.
• Must wear required safety equipment and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

P&K Stone LLC is seeking a Excavator Operator to become a part of our team!

The Equipment Operator is responsible for operation of heavy mobile equipment, specifically Excavators. This could also include Haul Trucks, Loaders, and Dozers. Travel to sites in TX and OK is required.

Job Responsibilities

• All Equipment Operators are responsible for daily pre and post-shift inspections on equipment, and for operating the equipment safely.
• The Equipment Operator has the responsibility of being able to operate all mobile and heavy-duty equipment on site (dozers, loaders, haul truck, excavators, etc.)
• Will perform clean-up work as necessary to keep tools, equipment, and working areas clean, orderly and safe.
• Must comply with company safety rules and regulations
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be multi-diversified in performing other related duties such as maintenance/repair, and yard loading when needed
• Ability to understand, interpret, and execute instructions given in both verbal and written form
• Recognize potentially hazardous situations
• Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules and regulations
• Must wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
• Meet or exceed company safety standards
• Maintain good customer relationships while delivering exceptional customer service by acknowledging and greeting everyone who comes on site.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Must be willing to handle continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
• Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or pulling of controls.
• Exerting up to 100 pounds of force.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear in order to communicate to employees/visitors, as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment.
• Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.
• Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking, climbing or standing for brief periods of time
• Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
