Job summary

Harnish Group Inc. in Tukwila, WA is seeking a Painter/Utility Technician to repaint machines, generators, and components and to maintain the Paint Bay. The role includes ordering parts, steam cleaning, and prepping for paint, with additional shop duties as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, vocational training or related experience, and a valid driver's license for forklift driving. CAT dealership exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational/technical training or equivalent experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license for forklift driving and equipment operation.
• Experience with hydraulic and mechanical presses, hoists, cranes, and pressure washers preferred.
• Flexibility to travel for extended periods to work with customers.
• Experience working at a Caterpillar dealership or with CAT products is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Repaint machines, generators, and components.
• Maintain the Paint Bay.
• Order parts and materials.
• Steam clean machines.
• Prep machines for paint.
• Repair metal and fiberglass panels.
• Apply masking and paint safely.
• Operate a track press and cylinder repair (depending on experience).
• Assist in other areas of the shop when needed.
