Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for earthwork in Gainesville, TX. You will operate stationary or traveling cranes to lift, move, and position loads, ensuring safe attachment before lifts and following signals from riggers.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment including Excavator, Water Truck, Loader, and Skid Steer.
• Inspect equipment daily for safety issues and malfunctions.
• Clean, maintain, and lubricate equipment.
• Take actions to avoid hazards and obstructions such as utility lines and other workers.
• Operate equipment according to signals from the rigger.

Job description

The- Heavy Equipment Operators - Earthwork (Gainesville, TX) will be responsible for operating a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Depresses buttons, lifts levers, and ensures load is safely attached to crane before making any lift. Erect structures, move products, equipment, or materials to and from industrial work areas by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate Excavator , Water truck , Loader, Compactor Skid steer operators
• Inspect equipment for safety issues daily and determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
• Cleans, maintains, and lubricates equipment.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
• Operate equipment according to signals from rigger
• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required For This Position

Education — no minimum education requirements.

Experience — 1-3 years of operating equipment in an Construction setting.
