Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road in Gainesville, TX is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator - Earthwork to operate cranes and move loads in industrial settings. You will lift, position, and secure loads, follow rigger signals, and perform routine inspections and maintenance to keep equipment safe.

No minimum education; 1–3 years of construction equipment experience; must pass drug screen and physical. We offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, plus a 401K match.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of operating equipment in a Construction setting.
• Must pass drug screen , and Physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate Excavator, Water truck, Loader, Compactor Skid steer operators.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues daily and determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
• Cleans, maintains, and lubricates equipment.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
• Operate equipment according to signals from rigger.
• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
• Other duties as assigned.
