Job summary

Enviva in North Carolina seeks a Mobile Equipment Operator to manage the logistical flow of raw and finished production on assigned shifts, operating front-end loaders and log handling equipment according to SOPs and safety standards.

You will inspect equipment, monitor yard controls, perform routine maintenance, keep accurate paperwork, and maintain a clean work area while meeting safety and quality targets in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Internal company certification required.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal job instructions.
• Proficient in mathematics and measurement.

Responsibilities

• Safe operations of heavy industrial equipment such as Front-End Loaders and log handling equipment to unload log trucks and load logs into production areas.
• Inspect equipment and report potentially unsafe or improperly operating equipment to the appropriate contact.
• Understand mix, mix piles, and mix targets when feeding fibers into the process.
• Perform daily checks and basic maintenance (blowing, washing, greasing) to keep equipment in good order.
• Monitor and adjust yard control room parameters to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Maintain proper paperwork and records.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties of the work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
