The Town of Prosper, Texas, is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Operator Water/Wastewater to perform skilled construction, maintenance, and repair on the town’s water and wastewater systems. The role uses backhoes, skid steers, excavators, and dump trucks to install and service infrastructure.

Eligible candidates typically hold a high school diploma, relevant licenses (CDL A, Class II Wastewater, Class C Water Distribution), and a year of water/wastewater experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in water/wastewater system maintenance, repair, and/or construction.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Possession of a valid Class A CDL license and/or obtain within six months of employment.
• Possession of a Class II Wastewater Collection license and/or obtain license within one year.
• Possession of a Class C Water Distribution license and/or obtain license within one year.

Responsabilités

• Operate heavy equipment to install, repair, and maintain water and wastewater lines, manholes, lift stations, and meters.
• Perform skilled and semi-skilled work in construction, maintenance, and repair of the Town’s utility infrastructure.

JOB SUMMARY The Town of Prosper is currently seeking qualified and dedicated individual for the position of: Heavy Equipment Operator Water/Wastewater

Hiring Range: $49,412.01 - $56,823.81

Qualifications: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience in water/wastewater system maintenance, repair, and/or construction.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Possession of a valid Class A CDL license and/or obtain within six (6) months of employment.
• Possession of a Class II Wastewater Collection license and/or obtain license within one (1) year.
• Possession of a Class C Water Distribution license and/or obtain license within one (1) year.

The Heavy Equipment Operator performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of the Town’s water and wastewater systems and related facilities. The position operates heavy equipment such as backhoes, skid steers, mini excavators, large excavators, and dump trucks to install, repair, and maintain water lines, wastewater lines, manholes, lift stations, and water meters. The Heavy Equipment Operator ensures safe and efficient equipment use while supporting the reliability of the Town’s utility infrastructure.
