Sehlhorst Equipment Services in Ohio seeks a Utility Crew Equipment Operator to support construction and underground utility projects. The role requires operating heavy machinery, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

The successful candidate will install trench boxes, lay pipe, and help maintain equipment while adhering to OSHA and EPA standards. A high school diploma and prior utilities experience are preferred; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of excavation experience required
• 3 years of excavator operation required
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Experience in underground utilities or construction preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery including excavators and loaders for construction tasks
• Install trench boxes and lower pipe into trenches
• Conduct daily inspections for safety and maintenance
• Assist in building and maintaining underground infrastructure, pipelines and other utilities
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements while operating heavy equipment
