Interstate Waste Services is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to load, push, and transfer solid waste at our transfer station. The ideal candidate will maintain efficient operations with a team mindset and self-motivation.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of equipment operation experience, be fluent in English, and ideally have sanitation industry background. Safety-conscious and capable of following hand signals and safety specs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Equipment Operator required.
• Fluency in English required; Spanish bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and bucket loaders (yellow iron).
• Routinely inspect equipment prior to operation and ensure safety procedures.
• Move materials and load transfer trailers to target weights; maintain smooth flow.
• Repair machinery and replace parts as needed.
