Job summary

The program lasts about 18 months, with promotion to Special Equipment Operator upon successful completion and a minimum starting salary of $25.12 per hour. The role involves learning to operate sewer television inspection units, jet and vacuum trucks, and related machinery, performing basic maintenance, and participating in safety and training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in utilities/public works maintenance or construction; 6 months operating heavy equipment.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver's license; obtain CDL Class A with tanker endorsement within 120 days; other safety certifications within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Learn and operate CCTV, Vactor, and related equipment.
• Locate and expose manholes and assist with backing the vehicle.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment; log timekeeping in EAM; attend trainings.
• Perform safety and maintenance inspections and comply with safety standards.
