Pasco County seeks a Special Equipment Operator - Utilities to perform skilled operation of heavy construction and public works equipment, including various excavators, graders, and trucks. Responsibilities include leading other operators and maintaining equipment in a safe, efficient manner.

Applicants must have a high school diploma, 4 years in utilities/public works with 2 years operating heavy equipment, and a Florida CDL Class A (X endorsement may be required).

Formación

• Graduation from high school or equivalency diploma.
• 4 years of experience in utilities/solid waste and/or public works maintenance and/or construction, including 2 years of operation of heavy equipment.
• Requires a Florida CDL Class A; X endorsement may be required and must be obtained within 30 days if needed.

Responsabilidades

• Operate heavy and complex construction equipment with skill and independent judgment.
• Lead workers and coordinate with laborers on public works/utilities projects.
• Maintain and service equipment as required and ensure safety compliance.
• Perform related work and reports as required.
