Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator/Driller Trainee (Construction) to join our Saratoga Springs team. This ESOP-owned company offers growth through internal promotion and a competitive hourly rate of $20–$22, plus a travel stipend.

Learn to operate heavy equipment and progressively train in drilling and blasting under supervision. Candidates should have construction equipment experience, a valid driver’s license, and be able to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment such as backhoe, skid steer, excavators, or loaders.
• Valid Driver's License with own transportation.
• Experience as construction laborer.
• Must hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operation.
• Mechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and learn drill patterns and layouts as established by the Blaster Foreman.
• Perform daily maintenance for safe, efficient operation of equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Blaster/Foreman on terrain and issues.
• Complete drill reports, hole sheets, and timecards timely.
