BETHLEHEM SEWERAGE & EXCAVATING SER is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator / Team Lead to operate heavy machinery, drive commercial vehicles, and guide a field team. The role emphasizes safety and teamwork in a physically demanding environment.

The position requires a CDL Class A license with a medical card, plus experience operating excavators, skid steers, and backhoes. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a positive, proactive attitude expected.

Qualifications

• Manual transmission experience required and will be tested.
• Able to safely operate mini excavators, skid steer, and backhoe.
• Able to trailer equipment to job site and safely unload/dump at quarries.
• CDL Class A Pennsylvania license and medical card required.
• Some plumbing experience is helpful.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.

• Operate CDL/Non-CDL equipment for job supplies (dump trucks, pickups).
• Maintain health and physical condition for manual labor (up to 75 pounds).
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Operate standard hand tools used in construction/excavation.
• Able to dig and jackhammer in tight spaces.
• Contribute to team by taking on additional tasks as needed.
• Understand and follow company safety policies.
• Be reliable to complete tasks independently or in a team.

As a Heavy Equipment Operator / Team Lead, you will be a versatile team member responsible for operating heavy equipment, driving commercial vehicles, and leading a team in the field. Maintaining good health is important to job performance.

Skills and Qualifications
