Commercial Metals Company is seeking a maintenance-oriented team member in Seguin, TX. You will assist maintenance staff across a dynamic environment, operate safely, and communicate issues promptly to keep production on track.

Qualifications

• Team player in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic.
• Ability to work around extremes in temperature, chemicals, dust, and mists.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with MS Office.
• Dependability in attendance and flexibility to meet business needs.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform overtime as required.
• Must learn quickly and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance personnel when requested/needed.
• Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following safety rules and PPE.
• Be alert of unsafe conditions at all times and report them immediately.
• Effectively communicate with others about production issues and needs.
• Ensure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shift.
• Carry out tasks and activities directed by operations support management safely and timely.
• Perform minor maintenance or repairs as needed without maintenance staff.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting method/procedure improvements.
• Maintain daily housekeeping in the work area.
• Troubleshoot work-related problems using knowledge and teamwork.
