Job summary

Commercial Metals (CMC) is a Fortune 500 company leading in steel products and construction reinforcement. This role offers hands-on experience with production equipment and daily safety practices in an industrial setting, with clear paths for training and advancement.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, perform essential material handling and quality-related tasks, and contribute to safer operations while supporting project teams across the facility.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Experience with metal sorting is a plus but not required; ability to distinguish metals and/or other materials for grading and recognizing safety hazards.
• Must be able to frequently lift 25 lbs or more up to 100 ft.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling and crouching.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods in an industrial environment with weather exposure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow safety regulations.
• Operate production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
