Job summary

Cessford Construction Company, a CRH company, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate a wide range of heavy machinery on central Iowa construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project timelines.

You will perform routine pre- and post-inspections, conduct minor maintenance, assist the crew with shoveling, material handling, and site tasks, and report issues promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights safely and efficiently.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Report problems to Foreperson, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources.
• Assist crew with duties such as shoveling, raking, and material handling.
• Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with documentation in compliance with company policies.
