Job summary

Cessford Construction Company, a CRH company, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Le Grand, IA. You will operate a variety of equipment for groundwork and construction, performing routine inspections and supporting the crew to keep projects on schedule.

The role requires adherence to safety procedures, ability to read basic project documents, and capable teamwork. Preference for a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related experience; willingness to travel occasionally may be

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-2 years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow OSHA/MSHA safety procedures and company policies.
• Report problems to foreperson, superintendent, safety manager, or HR.
• Assist crew with duties such as shoveling, raking, and using wheelbarrows.
• Perform daily pre- and post-inspections and document findings.
• Train less-experienced employees on equipment operations.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
